There are many WordPress pages that don’t really need a comments box shown on them. For example, static pages such as privacy pages, terms and conditions pages, an about us page etc., are amongst the few that come to mind immediately.
In this tutorial I show you how you can disable comments throughout the entire site or on a per post or per page basis.

You can disable comments globally by going to your “admin panel > settings > discussion” but disabling them there will only remove the box from posts or pages that you add later on. Therefore, any existing pages will still have a comments box on them.
To disable the box from existing pages or to disable comments on per page basis, simply go to your “admin panel > pages > all pages”.
Then check off the pages that you want to disable the comments from and click the “bulk actions” drop down menu, select “edit” and click the apply button. Then select “do not allow” from the “comments” drop down menu and click the “update” button.
To disable the box from existing posts or to disable comments on particular posts, go to your “admin panel > posts > all posts”.
Then check off the post(s) that you want to disable the comments box on and select “edit” from the “bulk actions” drop down menu and click the apply button. Then select “do not allow” from the “comments” drop down menu and click the “update” button.
